Location of Parashar Lake
Prashar Lake is located in the Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh, India. Nestled at an altitude of 2,730 meters (8,960 feet) above sea level, this serene and sacred lake is surrounded by the majestic Dhauladhar mountain range. The lake is named after the sage Prashar, who is believed to have meditated here. The area is known for its natural beauty, lush green meadows, and a three-storied pagoda-like temple dedicated to the sage Prashar, making it a tranquil retreat for those seeking spiritual and meditative experiences. The nearest town is Mandi, which is approximately 49 kilometers (30 miles) from the lake, and the site can be accessed via a scenic drive through the picturesque landscape of Himachal Pradesh.
